Privacy policy

This policy describes what the tools published under bryancalabro.com do with data. It is written against the code that is shipped, not against a product we would like to have.

What we collect on the tools

Nothing.

Each tool is a static page. Whatever you type into it stays in your browser, held in localStorage under a key named after the host, for example bc:headers.bryancalabro.com. That store is readable only by the page that wrote it and only on your own device. We cannot read it, and clearing site data for that host removes it.

A tool that offers an export writes a file to your machine. That is the only way data leaves the page, and you are the one who starts it.

What we collect on the portfolio site

Pageview and performance telemetry through Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights (V-4). These record that a page was viewed and how quickly it rendered. The site itself collects no personal data and sets no identifier of its own.

That telemetry runs on the portfolio site. It does not run on the tools.

Hosting

The sites are served by Vercel (V-2). As with any host, Vercel processes the network requests needed to serve a page, which includes the IP address a request arrives from. We do not ask Vercel for that data and we do not store it ourselves.

Source control and build

The repositories live on GitHub (V-3). What is in them is source code, history and build logs. Nothing a visitor types into a tool ever reaches them.

How the tools are built

We use Claude Code, from Anthropic (V-5), to build, audit and draft across the first-party repositories. What that provider sees is repository source and the app inventory content passed into a session. It does not see anything a visitor types into a shipped tool, because that data never leaves the visitor's browser.

We name this because an AI provider in the build pipeline is a subprocessor in substance even when it never touches production traffic, and a trust page that left it out would be less than honest.

Cookies

We set none. The tools use localStorage, which is not a cookie, is not sent with requests, and is not shared across hosts.

Your rights

There is no account to close and no record to request, because we hold nothing that identifies you. To remove everything a tool has kept, clear site data for that host in your browser. It is immediate and it is complete.

Children

The tools are general-purpose utilities with no sign-up. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, of any age, because we do not collect data.

Changes

This policy is versioned with the repository and carries a review date at the top of the page. Material changes are commits, and the history is public.
