About this desk

Trust is one of the company desks for the Calabro toolchain. It holds the privacy policy, the data processing addendum, the subprocessor list and the controls, and it is written to match the tools that are actually shipped.

We write in the institutional "we" because these are company documents rather than personal essays, and because the commitments in them should outlive whoever is at the keyboard. As of the review date at the top of every page, that "we" is one person: Bryan J. Calabro.

How it is built

This desk is a static site. Content is markdown in content/, rendered at build time by a small script in this repository with no dependencies, and served as plain HTML. There is no client-side framework and no runtime data fetching. The only JavaScript on the page sets the copyright year and runs the theme toggle.

Every page carries a version and a review date in the same block at the top. The version is the package.json version of this repository, so the document version and the deployed build never drift apart. The footer shows the same number.

Facts come from company/product-facts.md in the calabrodesign repository and are cited on the page by their id, for example V-2 for hosting or F-1 for a recorded failure. That file is the single source; this desk is a reading of it. Where it says a fact is not yet confirmed, this desk says so too.

What this desk is not

It is not a marketing page, and it does not carry compliance badges. It is not a substitute for an audit, and it does not claim to be one. See what a trust page cannot do for the longer version of that argument.
